Q1.Is any special notification required to install a hydrolysis system?Yes, it is required. The system falls under the category of a Class 1 pressure vessel.
You must submit a Class 1 Pressure Vessel Installation Notification and undergo both a usage inspection and a completion inspection conducted by the Labor Standards Inspection Office.
If the system includes a boiler, you must also submit a Boiler Installation Notification and undergo the same usage and completion inspections, which are conducted by both the Labor Standards Inspection Office and the Fire Department. -
Q2.Are any special qualifications required to operate hydrolysis equipment?Yes, they are required.
The equipment falls under the category of Class 1 Pressure Vessels.
Therefore, the following qualifications are necessary:
Class 1 Pressure Vessel Operation Supervisor
If the equipment includes a boiler, the following are also required:
Boiler Operation Supervisor
Boiler and Turbine Chief Engineer License Holder. -
Q3.Is an annual inspection required for hydrolysis equipment?Yes, it is required.
The equipment falls under the category of Class 1 Pressure Vessels, and therefore, an annual inspection by the Japan Boiler Association is necessary.
If the equipment includes a boiler, the following additional inspections are also required:

Annual Safety Valve Inspection -
Q4.Are any special qualifications or notifications required to install and operate the pyrolysis reduction unit?No, they are not required.

Q5.Does the operation generate noise?No, both the pyrolysis reduction unit and the hydrolysis unit do not generate noise that violates the Noise Regulation Act.

Q6.Does an odour occur during operation?Both the oil reduction unit and hydrolysis unit may generate some odour, so we will consult with the customer and install odour countermeasure equipment if necessary.

Q7.Is it possible to carry out sample experiments on hydrolysis?Yes, it is possible.
Experiments are possible as there is a testing machine at our Gifu plant. There is a charge for this service.
Analysis of the results is also possible at our Technical Division. -
Q8.Is it possible to conduct sample experiments on oilification?Yes, it is possible.
